Adrienne
I have a metal tank stand (nothing remarkable in that!) There is a piece of board that came with it that is brand new however it is not dead flat (particle board). If I use a piece of polystyrene between the tank (90 litres) and the board is the tank likely to be damaged or will the piece of board straighten out. The board comes up at one end or if I turn it over sits with both ends on the metal and the middle rises. Is there a good way to flatten the board? Thanks
Deno
It should flatten out under the weight of 90L if water. Sit or stand on the board before you put the tank on it, see what happens. Maybe need 2 people
ryanjury
I reckon if the wood is relatively flat and actually flexible enough to bend down easily it would be alright as Deno suggested just stand on it and see if it flattens out. Adrienne
will check it, will get one of my children to stand on it. If it doesn't straighten out I'll ditch the piece of wood and get something else to replace it with.
suphew
For the sake of the $20 it would cost for some wood to do the job, I'd pay it just for the peace of mind.
