Kermit
There's a couple of LFS here in Christchurch that sell cured rock, Organisms and Redwood. How about in Australia, do they have much in the way of cured or live rock in LFS?

Kermit
They sell the cured rock thats safe to put straight into mature tank for about $16-17/Kg. There's no critters in the rock so it aint live rock just cured, Redwoods rock may have some critters i'm not 100% sure but i'd say very little life if any. The uncured rock sells for $10/Kg in which you have to cycle first.
Doc Holiday
Do you still have some rock left steve?? I have 30 or 40 kilos of base rock to run in my sump/refugium but I'm after some quality rock for the main system, about 50 or 60 kilos. Pies
I have brought over 150kg of rock from JetSkiSteve. Covered in coraline, mushrooms, crabs, shrimps, algae etc. So it may not be 'straight from the ocean' but looks good in my tank. gregb
Here in Australia, I live in Melbourne the LR prices ranges from $12-$15. It comes from low tide areas in north Queensland & Western Australia. Its full of bugs & small corals even after a light cycle at the LFS. You can place an order & pick it up in 2 days & take it home to use straight away. The rock has to smell like fresh sea water, if not it will need more cycling. Doc Holiday
Steve the freight is a small price to pay for quality rock when my choices are good quality rock from you or lets see, dead rock, cured or uncured for the same price it would cost to frieght your rock down here.
