Southerrrngirrl
Just been to my LFS and noticed a new fish I've not seen or heard of before. They had it labelled as a Goldheaded Purple Harlequin. The name is basically a description of the fish, its body is mostly a dark purple colour with a gold patch on the head. It was similar in shape and size to a Harlequin Rasbora. I've googled and I can't find anything about these fish. I'm a bit doubtful as to whether they are commonly known as Goldheaded Purple Harlequins as this comes from a shop who regularly labels things strangely, such as Sucker Cats rather than Bristlenose. If anyone knows the fish I'm talking about and can give me perhaps a latin name or even a common name that would be much appreciated

Southerrrngirrl
That just brings up the Harlequin Rasbora.. is the purple/gold one just a colour variation with the same latin name?
Sophia
these people are selling some of a similar name - I presume this is not the shop you mention... they might know the latin name viewtopic.php?f=24&t=47484
Rob
They appear just be a colour variety of harlequins. Looks like they may get called either black harlequins or purple harlequins in other countries.
