tracytrout
I have a 3ft tank with Forktail, Spotted and Threadfin Rainbows and was wondering if it would be safe to add the 3 adult Madagascar Rainbows from my community tank or would the smaller rainbows be eaten ? And YES I have googled and looked for help on the internet but couldn't find anything
supasi
Wont be eaten as all rainbows have small mouths for the size of their bodies, but the Madagascans are much bigger and may harrass the others. I keep my thread fins and Forktails in with my Boesmani and Incisus without any issues. HTH
tracytrout
Thanks Simon .....Are your Boesemani full grown adults as Madagascan adults are smaller and more peaceful than Boesemani so hopefully it should be safe if you've got yours all together? Well they are not fully grown, but they are sexually mature as I have successfully reared fry from them in the past. They do get alot bigger than they are. Yes you are right, Maddys stay reasonably small.
