Ira
i am thinking of making a stand of breeding tanks. but cant figure out how to make a water change system? can anyone help me please? Automatic or manual water change system? Continuous or not? How complicated/expensive do you want to go? Simplest is a hose trickleing into each tank and a small hole drilled in each for it to overflow out.

henward
manual system is really a bucket system. if you are gonna have multiple tanks, last thing you wanna worry about is a manual system. first: 1) do you already have the tanks or still to be made? 2) if made - are they full of water now and being used? i can set you up a auto water changer for breeding tanks wether it be your tanks are total of 300 litres over 5 tanks or total of 10,000 litres. i have a automatic water changer that changes my 2x 1200 litres and 1x 260 grow out tank. no buckets. just does it daily, slowly. saves power, stress on fish too. if you are interested, then let me know, if you are in auckland or not far, come around and ill show you how i have done it. relatively siimple, and best ofall cheap!!!!! and the hours you save will pay dividends later. henward
oh yeah my system is not continous also. it switches on and off during the day multiple times, and you specify to your requirements how often and how much it does during the day.
