firefish
Last October I brought Amber as company for Jade (my lovebirds) Amber wasn't tame at all and Jade was hand raised, but they got along from the start. Over the first few months Amber wouldn't come out of the cage when I let Jade out. So I just ignored Amber, hoping that would make her more comfortable. She started by accepting the stick bit on millet sprays (found them to be the best amusement for the birds - they play tug of war if I give them one to share) She's slowly been getting closer to me. Like landing on the bed that i'm sitting on, to landing on my back. And last night she has comfortable on my hands. If I move too much she flys off. But i'm really pleased about her progress Amber on my arm:
MarkLB
Lovely birds you have. I'm trying to tame a budgie at the moment, he's been heaps of fun.
