phoenix44
Just could not resist..... I tried and tried and tried to resist... honestly. They are still settling in, though they are eating, I apologise for the wonky colours. And for those of us who appreciate the more natural earthy colours in discus - Annnnddd... I think they are pairing up. (count those bars)
Zev
Oooo nice - always liked the blues, but prefer them a bit darker and with stripes - what do you call the bottom ones, they are rather nice too.
phoenix44
The red one came in as a red rose discus as far as I am aware. He loses the bars and then brings them back as he likes. The checker boards don't seem to like either of them  but will have no choice but to get used to them, cause they aint going any where. phoenix44
b-b-bl-blue I know! :bounce: I am SOOOO happy to have found a really nice one without the $200+ price tag. and the brown / red rose one is $150 or so; so that's pretty good too considering no one is really breeding them (yet). Great looking fish! They look pretty comfortable to me,all the best with them Thanks! means a lot coming from you with your round plate sized discus! Just wondered if you have heard that angels can give discus hole in the head.? saw one in your firsy photo. not 100% sure but maybe our discus knowlegable people help us out with this. Love the rose red one great colour and body shape.
phoenix44
possibly a little redder in real life... its a nice muddy red. sorta like FeO2  I want a red discus! Order it from your closest shop! should be between $144.95 - $175.00 Nice looking fish. Just wondered if you have heard that angels can give discus hole in the head.? saw one in your firsy photo. not 100% sure but maybe our discus knowlegable people help us out with this. Love the rose red one great colour and body shape. HITH thing is a total myth. Angel is in Wellington now, but ive always kept angels and discus together and have never regretted it. I think the real wild ones carry a parasite that feed off the discus which is no good. I think you would have to worry about aggression and food competition more than any thing else. Nymox
I think you would have to worry about aggression and food competition more than any thing else. Are discus aggressive feeders like angels?
phoenix44
not at all. they are dumb and stupid and take their time when they are larger. until you have about 40+ in a tank and feed them fresh beef heart. Then its an all out feeding frenzy
Nymox
Haha now that would be a sight to behold!
