Pegasus
Nylon fly screen mesh works well Steve. Just make a simple wire frame and spring it into position. Bill.
dan_from_nz
yeah i made my one out of fiberglass fly screen mesh it worked quite well, for the frame i used venetian blind tilt rod (just a thin steel rod) it didnt rust but i didn't use it for too long
Pegasus
I use brazing rods from the local engineer.. few bucks apiece. You can join them easily with a bit of airline
dan_from_nz
that would work also, another tip if you are trying to seperate larger fish from getting together is to use old suction cups with heater holder clips on from blown heaters to hold the wall up securely (or you can use airline suction holders)
Carriej
Just to restart an old thread.... I use crossstich mesh from the craft store. its stiff enough that it will support itself easily, and has nice size holes for filtration. used to use bought ones, but was never happy about the tiny sizo of the holes. Michael
I have one in place that's going well for separating cichlid fry into one end of the tank - just a thin piece of perspex with some holes drilled. I cut it a bit wider than the tank and flexed it into place. Perspex came off an old display board, its about 2mm thick.
PENEJANE
I am wanting to look at getting a long but not high tank which I can divide into 3 sections. I was thinking of getting the fabric that is used for bridal vails and was wondering with this fabric or similar would I be able to get away with one heater and one filter for the whole tank instead of one for each section?? This is for my guppy tank.
Caryl
You could also use one of the various weed mats or shade cloths, not too small holes though as you want the water to circulate. Some craft shops also have sheets of plastic mesh used in tapestry sometimes.
