Above is a pic of my female swordtail or platty, I only noticed it today (It does not look raised or aggrivated in any way, she also swims normally and feeds normally, no changes in her behaviour), my attention were more on the bristlenose babies, but they all got homes today so now I started noticing my other fish. The reason why I am not sure if she is a platty or a sword tail is because when I bought her from the goldfish pagola in Botany the guy said it was platties, but my male looks like this

the females I have (there is two) is the same colouring as he, so not quite sure what I actually have.

Hard to tell but looks like an injury to me. If it is raised and fluffy it is a secondary fungal infection. If fish is behaving normally then I would leave it but keep an eye on it and it should get better on its own. Keep water conditions as clean as possible.

Swords are platys too

Thanks Caryl, it is deffinetly smooth and not raised or fluffy, looks like the skin is actually a bit thinner there. The male has been chasing my poor females and bumping them under their bodies so I won't be suprised if he might have rammed her into the filter or something, poor thing.
