I never use any other med's accept for an outbreak of whitespot 6 months ago with a new fish, just wanted to treat it quick and sure before it spead. I havent had anything major to actually treat at home yet, but i think it has help some of the fish with ripped/nipped fins repair quicker. kim Posted November 16, 2004 Report Share Posted November 16, 2004 also work out why the fish are getting sick then put meds in test your water...your temp.... and if you put tonic salt in your tank check that you havent put to much of that in. i would say Melafix over tonic. i use melafix in the shop when i get a shipment in and i never have problems when i use it . just dont use it all the time only when you need to mind you thats the same with any meds Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He got the fungus on his head but it looked aws though it was eating away the flesh. The fungus has gone, colouring is coming back but there appears to be a bit of skin still sticking up.
