henward
running cost would be a nightmare despite the tank being one of your dreams lol 19,000. the heating would be immense in nz.
David R
Y Did you forget the rest of your post? Ummm because he has a not quite 19,000 litre arowana tank... Nearly, he has a ~37000L arapaima tank. House Of Sam meets Animal Planet
DEE
wow you would end up with a police squad at your door step in new Zealand in no time running that much electricity, they won't know what suspected
Fruju
lol, what does that mean Dee? *note the question mark David* 8)
DEE
lol, what does that mean Dee? *note the question mark David* 8) ha ha you are so smart Fraser and i mean that there has probably never been that amount of power usages anywhere in new Zealand in rural areas, so you would like that they would investigate. Duncan7
House Of Sam meets Animal Planet Whoa! Got stocked? That is awesome! Wouldnt like the maintenance costs, maybe a job at a public aquarium that you can kinda customise would be the answer Something to aim for anyway henward, we believe in you! David R
Whoa! Got stocked? That is awesome! Yeah, you should look for some of his threads on the Photo Lounge on MFK, that video doesn't show the true beauty of many of the fish, like the 2-3' black arowanas. I'm a bit sceptical about some of the facts/figures in that clip too (not saying I doubt John, more the hyped up nature of that kinda TV), for a start its not even the biggest privately owned tank on MFK... Simply awesome, but what a job to maintain.
Fruju
Actually my personal fav is neoprodigy's tank and fish, pure class, coolest stuff out, sorry Henward but id take his platinum barra, Gold barra, gars, platinum RTC, Paraya and tigrinus over you guys lol.
David R
Yeah, the guy in canada's is 57k gallons IIRC, I've posted a link to it before. Too big for me IMO, even if I won lotto I doubt I'd build something even as big as Johns tank. Neo's 600g is cool, but a bit bare for my tastes. Yeah the fish are rare and amazing, but that doesn't mean you can forget about the aquascaping...
