Wok
instead of java moss I just used indian fern floating on top of the water and it is growing quite nicely. and the baby guppies hide in that.
shiuh
indian fern? how does it look like? my java moss float on the bottom?
Caryl
Indian fern is Ceratopteris pteroides and also known as water sprite (which confuses it with C. thalictroides) and water wisteria, Hygrophila difformis. There is a poor pic of it here; http://www.wetwebmedia.com/PlantedTksSu ... pteris.htm If you have a dense clump of Java moss it will sink but thinned out, it floats. The India fern has long floating roots for the fry to hide in.
shiuh
should java moss be floating on top or sink at the bottom when the fish drop?
Caryl
A bit of both would be useful
