chimera
my male clown fish has a small lesion on the right side of his belly. it looks more like a small wart than anything else. he doesnt seem affected by it at all and is completely healthy in all other aspects (swimming, eating, etc) any ideas? could it have formed from running into a sharp rock or something? dan_from_nz
not cauliflower diease is it (Lymphocystis spp) Symptoms, warty clumps of miniature cauliflowers form on the fins and body. Comments, this viral disease often looks alot worse than it really is. Althoughrarely fatal, secondary infections may occur. Treatment, there is no proprietary medication. A fresh water dip may help. Normally, if optimum water conditions are maitianed and the fish is under very little stress, its immune system will eventually difeat the virus
