imsweet
my 2 different type of killes have just started laying eggs again ( australe gold and Aplocheilus lineatus ) but there seems to be alot fungusing. I have started to add meth blue to stop the spread but at least 2-3 eggs a day are growing fuzz. both sets are fertile and have bred before, just had a break from each other. :-? Any suggestions? ta. N1CK
Are you removing all the eggs that are fungusing? that should help, as well as the meth blue
Mr McFish
Are you trying to hatch them in containers? because with cory eggs I find it better to have a small amount of eggs per container.
imsweet
Yep, they get removed from the mop / java moss and placed into a floating container - with tank water. Have never added meth blue before but am now.
Barrie
Meth Blue should be added before even adding the eggs ALWAYS incubate the eggs in water with meth blue and it should be VERY blue in colour How did you get on with the Korts? Ira
Have the eggs actually been fertilised?
Zev
Are you picking the eggs with your fingers? One of the local breeders here said that he had problems with bitaeniatum eggs fungussing, he began using tweezers and it seemed to solve the problem - not insinuating that you have grubby paws but just a thought.
