simfish
Hi I have an empty Aqua One Ar850 tank with alot of scratches on all 3 sides by the previous owner. I would like it professionally get it treated / polished by a glass expert to remove as much of the scratches as possible. I am in Botany, Howick, Auckland. I was thinking of calling Smith and Smith. Any ideas or suggestions?
Barrie
if you can feel the scratches with your finger nail, they are too deep! They can be removed but at a huge cost. How it is done is by polishing off the surface of the glass untill the surface is the same as the scratch. The last scratch I removed took 90 minutes on a shop front at a cost of $110 and that was an easy one as excess was great Replace the glass where needed

bdspider
Could be cheaper to just buy a new tank. If they have to buff too much, the glass is thinned & not as strong.
