Gill
Hi What causes Ambulia to go stringy, its taking over my tank so it grows very fast but its looking very stringy, the gaps between leaves are huge about 3 cm. I have DIY CO2 running and lights are x 2 power glo i think . I leave lights on for about 12 hrs a day .I also aqua mix in substrate. Thanks
alanmin4304
Bluer light will probably make it grow more compact.

phoenix44
you can try a marine blue light but i think even pure white light may help. I *think 5000K should have blue spectrum as well.
alanmin4304
I think cool white is about 4600k and should be cheaper from a hardware store.
SamH
2400k is warm white 4000k is cool white 6500k is cool daylight The first two are commonly available at most lighting and hardware stores, a bit harder to find the 6500k though.
