trace&steve Posted November 10, 2009 Report Share Posted November 10, 2009 ive just noticed about an hour ago my venustus cichlids almost dead it is goulping and he kinda just floating around so we got it out and had a look down its mouth there looks to be a big meat looking pink in colour bit of inside at the back of its throat what could it be??? it isnt a pellet we thought about that!!!!! and checked its jaw has kinda dropped down looking like a holding female :-? but its not holding!!!! any ideas i really dont think it will make the night Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

livingart Posted November 10, 2009 Report Share Posted November 10, 2009 i am not too sure without seeing fish, it will look like a pinkish ballon at the back of its throat gills are normally red but can be pink from low oxygen content or internal haemorhage putting a pin in it will help it deflate if it isthe bladder, hypodermic needle is better to allow air out i would not expect to see that in a tank fish unless it has an infection in swim bladder or a rock has fallen on it this is only guess work though Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
