aquadude
I scored an aqua one tank at a garage sale with a elite5 hob filter which I am using for a young guppy tank once after a couple of weeks taking the fry from a breeding trap. The 2 cartridges in it one is a cartridge with 2 removable black mesh / sponge ( not sure what you call the substance one is the charcoal with white sponge ( this is the cartridge I need replacing ) Thanks for any help & advice

ryanjury
If it is just filter media you should be able to replace it with some filter wool (or cushion stuffing if your really cheap) or cut another larger filter pad to size... aquadude
the only problem with that great idea is that the white fibre is actually attached and not removable...bugger
bronze-dragon
Animates can order them in for you. I think a 2 pack is about $18 from memory and you can get 5 packs too
Dixon1990
I found the sponge easy to replace, just cut another sponge to fit. And i never used the charcoal stuff anyway, i took that cartridge out and filled the back half of the filtre with ceramic noodles.
