Friend's cat came home with a bright reddish comet about 10cm body and huge shredded tail. Took them a second to get over their amazement and check for vital signs. Fish still alive with just a few scales missing and a small wound to the head but looking good and swimming. Asked the first neighbour and found her home so hopefully she is back there now. Neighbours had taken the cover off thinking it would be fine with the fish at the bottom for winter. A few nice warm days and they were all at the surface. Poor old girl! dantedobe Posted October 13, 2009 Report Share Posted October 13, 2009 We are so lucky. We have 8 cats and none of them touch the goldfish and I've had the pond for 3 years. They even drink from the pond and the fish all come over to see if they are going to be fed! Our dogs keep the neighbours cats out of our backyard which is good. Caryl Posted October 13, 2009 Report Share Posted October 13, 2009 Touch wood we have not had any cats attacking our fish either and we have 4 or 5 cats wandering through our yard.
