SamH
Here's some pics of my first ever platy fry (all five of them ) Anyone want to guess what colours they might turn out to be?
rox
Hey Sam, they should grow up more or less just as they are now. :bounce: :bounce: What'd their parents look like?
BikBok
cool Sam.. how old are they in those pics? I have two red wagtails and I'm pretty sure the female will be having babies in the not too distant future. Are your parents red or orange? Mine are somwhere in between.. they look a little more red than in the pics: (this was just in their quarantine tank)
Aaron_fish_mad_guy
Well done, they look good!
SamH
Pics are taken today, fry were born 29th July '09. Making them 18 days old. They are spoilt little pigs, well, the brighter three are. The more pale and slightly smaller ones hang near the bottom and aren't as keen for food
SamH
They are now about 1.5-2cm long and I need to move them out of the breeder. Will they get lost in this 80x25x45cm tank? viewtopic.php?f=4&t=40600 The water level is a bit lower ATM
phoenix44
Cool stuff. they should be fine in that tank.
SamH
Yeah, popped them in about half an hour ago. Seem to be doing great. Exploring heaps. They were schooling at first but then broke up and investigated the tank. Still can't tell what gender they are yet :-? . They all look like girls to me (fingers crossed) but they're only a month old so we'll see.
