kylefish02
BG yours are probably just zebras or pseudotropheus lombardoi
Caryl
Tilapia, grown as food fish in other countries, are banned in NZ
Midas
Cynotilapia are not the Tilapia you are thinking of Caryl. Cynotilapia is just a genus of Mbuna. The group of cichlid species generally referred to as 'Tilapia', many of which are farmed for food and which are a noxious pest in many conutries, are quite different. I do not know if Cynotilapia afra is available in NZ. It's much more likely that what you have are blue zebras or lombardoi (like kylefish02 said) as these are commonly available and look very similar.
