jamosfish
Just wondering if these have ever been seen in N.Z?
Cricketman
very very similair to L083 / L165, which i have seen 3 this month, 1 of which io bought (thanks mark) 1 at marks again, and 1 at animal antics LPS. not sure if your particular species is on the books, maybe pheonix can check? being that he works in a petshop... lol
phoenix44
me? shucks. not on the list. then again, hardly any / no suppliers use L numbers when snowball or snowspot plecos come in, you normally get a mix of all of the black plecos with white spots - so then on its just a matter of luck, being in the right place at the right time, and knowing which fish is what.
jamosfish
L083 / L165???? I think you might have made a typo.... I am referring to Scobinancistrus cf. pariolispos.
Cricketman
L numbers are usually 3 digits after the L... http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=629 that is the one you are talking about?? L048, Scobinancistrus cf. pariolispos where i am talking about L083, Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps, also listed as L165. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=148 which i have seen plenty of around, so, being a close match to your L048 looks wise, if that what you were after, i thought it would be a good substitute
jamosfish
I know L number are usually 3 digits. I short hand alot no real need for the 0 if you ask me. I have been involve in collecting and breeding plecos for years now, thats why i am looking for very specific plecs.... Sorry but won't settle for anything but the ones i want lol. I haven't ever been abl;e to get a true L48, used to get a lot of Vampires being passed of as them. Oh well i guess i will keep looking! ilah
Im sure i had a really young one a couple of years ago so they may be floating around still, and forgot who i sold it to sorry. I know how annoying it is looking for a specific fish that may/may not be in the country (I've bin lookin for a male L102 for years)
jamosfish
Yeah...worst part is when someone tells you they have one then you get their and it isn't right lol
firenzenz
Yeah there are definitely here or something very close. Both they and L253 have come in on the "Goldie" title. All those scobi's look the same at that age. Mistaken also as gold nugget but the ones I've seen get duller wirh age- A Universal truth . jamosfish
L48 come in as L14......Serious???? They don't even look alike when small? I guess alot of importers don't really care or only care about the cash.
