LYNDYLOO
I have the Aquaone 980 really the same Tank as a 850 just slightly bigger. I only use the lighting that comes installed in the Tank, but add Flourish Excel very time I do a Water Change.

wagonman
have you painted the back of your tank? or is it just the wall behind, went to the store today and ordered 2 of the longer bulb's, i think they are 25w 8000k superlights, i got the smaller bulb the other day, 20w 10000k superlight, i also have started to use 5ml flourish after each water change and 1/2 sera co2 tablet each day, will get fert balls and buy sum plants and see how i go once the new bulbs arrive. axolotl-danio
It is an ex display tank from a pet shop so the back is painted blue. By complete coincidence my wall behind the tank is the exact same colour blue and most people dont notice that the glass is painted. The paint looks a bit different but that is just the lighting.
