Would a female betta fight with a male plakat betta

It all depends on the personality of the fish really. You could try let them see and get used to each other before they are in the same tank with ea other or if it's densley planted enough then you might get away with it. Whatever you do, just be prepared to seperate fish!

it would be better if you could have more than one female to a male, if anyones going to be beating up anyone else, it'll be the male chasing down the females. one female will get hounded to the point of exhaustion and could end up with terrible fin damage, he may even kill her.

just depends on each fishes personality, one of my female split tails is at this moment hunting down the giant plakat male that is in "her" tank.

in saying all that, having a well planted tank with lots of hide aways will give them space from each other, and it may work out absolutely fine.

keep an eye out for fin damage and overly aggressive behaviour.
