Southerrrngirrl
Kids are so spoilt these days. I never got to go to our school ball, because the year I became 6th form the school changed the rules on us only allowing 7th formers to have a ball. Before that, they used to have a combined 6th-7th form ball. Ahh well.. my parents probably wouldn't have allowed me to go anyways..
HaNs
I had to pay my wall to school balls. Went to the 7th form after ball and it was the worst party ever. Though i dont actually remember the ball....
lmsmith
If you think that getting ponsied up in flash and expensive gear, getting drunk and doing a heap of things that you would not do sober is somehow improving your life I would respectfully suggest that you look carefully at your life. But do have a good day. Our ball was a really fancy affair; more like a debutante ball than a school dance. We did the whole walking down the stairs with our dads to met our dates. It was a really great 'coming of age' ceremony. I absolutely think that it was part of what has made me who I am today; and I think that it allowed us a good passage between having everything done for us, and having to look after ourselves. Sure, there was alcohol involved at the afterball, but because we were well supervised and contained, no one did anything stupid, and we all had a great time that we could remember in the morning. Absolutely worth every penny I spent.
Adrienne
My older daughter had her own school ball last night. I was one of the parents at the afterball and got home at 4.45am this morning. I was really impressed, 450 teens and very very well run. Anyway here she is,
