Jatt16
In my discus tank i saw, someone had pulled the plug out for the heater. They had no heat for two days, i am so cruel. this morning i was late and fed the fish and quickly went didn't even take a glimpse at the therometer. Will they survive? They are swimming but all are facing downwards
Dave+Amy
hmmm...if they're adults they might pull through, how low did the temp go? I had my temp down to 23 once when I added one too many buckets of cold water over summer
Jatt16
Went around 24 yep they are adults
phoenix44
24? do not panic. they will be fine. adjust the temp to 26 today and then 28 tomorrow. if you keep them at 30 normally - change it to 30 the day after that.
Dave+Amy
you shouldn't worry 'cos they usually drop to that during courier, discus are hardy enough fish - don't feed them much until you've gradually brought the temp up.
smidey
i try to imagine what it would be like i the wild, the water temps must go up & down with rain etc so they should handle it fine.
Jatt16
I am so happy they have survived but they are very scared and when i go close they start panicking so i am trying to stay away. Hopefully all will be good
