DRIFTWOOD - when can i put in tank

BikBok

Recommended Posts

i have a piece of presoaked driftwood from a petshop.

I am now soaking it in some of my own tank water, is that all I need to do? or do I need to scrub and boil first?

How soon can I put it in my newish tank.

I give it a scrub and rinse to get any loose rubbish off then throw it straight in the tank wedged under a rock to hold it down.

Yep.

If it's pre-sunk you might not even need to anchor it down. And there's no need to soak it until the tannins (the brown/yellow stain in the water) disappears. Some wood will take years to get to that point.
