darkfur
does anyone else have a problem with their swamp wood staining their water? No matter what I do to the wood my water always ends up looking like wees! Doesn't bother my fish just me! If anyone knows how to eliminate the stain and keep the wood I will be forever in their debt
lmsmith
Water changes. Lots and lots of water changes. Or, just get used to the nice colour
phoenix44
put carbon in your filter. i hate that colour too. but carbon does the trick. remember to change the carbon every month - 6 weeks. the colour does no harm at all though. I just dislike the colour.

whetu
I like a bit of tannin in the water! You've just reminded me I don't see it in my tank anymore, now the freshest bit of wood in there is about two years old. I used to like the slightly brownish look it gave the tank... looked very natural to me.

I agree, my tank has a few bits of wood in it, there not that large but they have given the water a really natural look. I like it
