LYNDYLOO
Has anyone got any idea why my Two Tanks are going cloudy :-( I have recently installed an AquaOne CF1200 on each Tank, I used the media that I already had running in the built in Filters on the Tanks. One Tank is an AquaOne AR620T 130 Ltrs and the other Tank is an AquaOne AR980 215 Ltrs . I'm thinking both of the Tanks are going through abit of a cycling period, didn't think this would happen if I used the old media that was already being used in the Tanks orginally. Looks like somebody has tipped milk into the Tanks, thought they would be crystal clear with the Filters I am now running. All the media that comes with the Filter has been washed in Tank Water, before the Filter was installed, I replaced more than Half of the Ceramic Noodles that came with the Filter with the Ceramic Noodles that I already had running on the Tanks. All Water parameters are good. Any help would be very much appreciated :-) Lynda
lmsmith
Sounds like some sort of bacterial bloom. Water changes and time are what you need.
Snowman
How long was it between turning off the old filter and turning on the new one? Sounds like dead bacteria to me, did you give the media a clean? Water changes will help.
