Goniopora. one year on. gone are the days that you could not keep them

Corals are just humming at the moment. light reduction seems to have done wonders. i reduce some lights to 250w.

Coral went thru a rough patch a month ago for some reason. all my pocilopora went brown and acros lost a bit of colour.

Big changes happened when i started to add some reef booster again. seems i may have been starving my corals.

Yes I dose after the lights go out.

Haven't got algae at the moment keeping an eye on it then will drop back to once a week, only doing it twice because I should be doing two ampoules so I dose one twice a week can't see the point in putting two in at once.

what’s with the cloudy tank?

Its dosing of aragmight calcium. i dose it at night. still cant keep up with kh. tank is too loaded with sps corals. i add about 9 table spoons of kh buffer a day.

What sort is it and are you able to get them

hard to get & too expensive. over $150 i would say. not on the Maf list.

whats wrong with your co2 from your calcium reactor

Its not going. i have to clean it and add a few bits as too much co2 was going in my tank causing algae,

Will have to get on to it as its a pain to add the stuff every day.

sure coral growth is ok, there is over 100 acros so that would explain the huge uptake of carbonate.

I wouldnt have thoght you had 10 times more stock than me

Don’t forget the clams which number over 8, then you have some hard coral which are really big, and then you have a sump full of acros.

It all adds up. Can’t think where else it goes. I tested everyday for a week and it drop significantly each day.
