Fish will be WCMM's only and there will be no heater.
VinsonMassif
When I transferred those three plants from a tropical tank to an unheated tank they all melted on me. I had success with java moss and java fern, as well as anubias and peace lily. You could try some small pond plants.
Gecko
My boyfriend had some plants in his tropical tanks, but they decided to start dieing. As soon as I got my coldwater tank I put those plants in there and they seem to be doing much better. I think it all really depends on the actual temperature you have your tank sitting at. Tsarmina
tank will be at room temp all year round. our lounge goes from 30 in summer to 10 in winter. i would leave the minnows outside, but we are currently building a pond and we need to move the bath tub they are in to continue. once built, they will be going in the pond (and i'll probably never see them again  )
