livebearer_breeder
what would be the best way to breed angels, because it seems that every secind thing i read is conflicting? any help would be greatly appreciated:D
Peter McLeod
I have found Angels very easy once you establish a pair. They don't seem to be as fussy over a mate like Discus. All I can say is what works for me. Bare bottom tank Good food (I have found earthworms awesom). A small length of that marley downpipe for easy removal of the eggs. livebearer_breeder
i have blood worms and tropical tucker and tubifix worms which i tend to use to condition my fish for breeding? is that any good what size tank? fins
I use old tall fish food container for them to lay there eggs on. The bigger the tank the better and make sure the tank is tall. Try feed them white worms every so often as it has alot of fat that helps egg with production.
livebearer_breeder
some ppl say to use a bamboo stick and remove it when they have breed on it?
fins
it doesnt really matter what you use.
livebearer_breeder
what should the breeding tank be set up wiht?
fins
just a bare tank with heater, a filter with low current and something for them to lay their eggs on.
livebearer_breeder
why no gravel?
fins
why gravel? it just makes it harder to clean.
livebearer_breeder
how??
fins
without gravel in the tank you can easily syphon all waste off the bottom of the tank. The gravel would hide food particals. All breeders know that bare bottomed tanks are the best for breeding fish.

fins
an angel is an angel. How can you be sure that you can sex them?
livebearer_breeder
cuz the female layed eggs and the male fertilised them but i watchet the other fish in the tank eat them so ive moved them into there own tank for know until i get a good set up for them to breed in, i was just wondering will the babies be ugly if its two different colours? fins
I think you would get mixxed colours so they wouldnt look too great.
