griff
Hello, I know of a goldfish in a pond that is absolutely distended. It is still swimming okay and feeding, but it seriously does not look right. It's not just a little bit fat with eggs - it's really distended! Will it be okay? Is it possible to 'massage' some of the eggs out? It is in a pond with lots of other fish that have been sucessfully breeding. Cheers. Caryl
If it is eggs you will often notice she is fatter on one side than the other when seen from above. Sometimes they can get very fat with eggs and look like they are about to burst. The can be 'milked' and many breeders do this. Never tried it myself so will leave details to someone who has done it :-? More likely eggs than dropsy.
