Guest
I have a pair of dwarf flags that are about 6cms. The female looks fatter than the male so I'm thinking it's full of eggs. I was just wondering what triggers them breeding? They swim around together so I think they've formed a pair.

TM
A cooler water change triggers a large number of fish.

ryanjury
with addition of a little bit salt too Why would you add salt? I don't think that dwarf flags are brackish fish at all...

Caryl
How can salt trigger spawning? They are freshwater fish. All salt does is irritates the fish's skin and makes it produce more mucus in an attemt to get rid of it.

Caryl
You need to be irritated before you can spawn Ira??
