TM
No, its supposed to last atleast 10years Don't know of any tank that would have a 10 Guarantee. Where is this info from? I have never put a time that tanks ive made are Guaranteed for as the consumer Guarantees act cover it really. I think a resonable time frame would be 2 - 4 years. From dealings in the past suppliers don't, in general, cover damage or loss of property (consequential loss) in the event of something like this, however this was about 3 years ago. Some suppliers are better than others to.
phoenix44
the reasonable time frame things also depends on how much you sent on the tank in the first place.

Thats right, thats why i said 2 - 4 years. Was it a pre made tank or was it built in NZ

smcoleman
Hi Steves Girlfriend here, We decided only to ask for a replacement tank, we decided not to ask for fish, heater and help with the cost of cleaning as it is one of those things that happen and could have happened to anyone. I'm glad to say Hollywoods and the tank maker have come to the party and are building a brand new tank in thicker glass. We should be recieving this next week. Hollywoods have been great and we will continue to vist their shop. One Happy customer. Thanks to all that have posted a reply in this forum. It great to know there are heaps of supportive people out there. Regards, Diane.
