karynjoy
I have an elite pump but it is very noisy. Can anyone recommend a quieter pump please?
lmsmith
Eheims are really really really quite. They're pretty expensive, but imo, worth it because you just don't hear them.
phoenix44
there used to be this brand - "stellar".. their pumps are cheap as and quiet... but eheim is def the most silent and powerful (relatively of course).
Ira
If you want a quiet air pump, don't use an air pump. There is none that will be quieter than a filter outlet or powerhead blowing across the surface of the water.
karynjoy
Hi there, thanks for the advice, I actually picked up a TM deal today that had lots odf bits and pieces in it including a via aquapower head pump. There's lots of bits in there i have no idea how it works. I think i may have to do a wee web search!!
Ira
Power heads are extremely complicated to figure out how to make them work. First you have to plug them in, then put them in the water. Or you can put it in the water then plug it in.
karynjoy
Ok , thought I'd better check again first....plug in then put in water right!!! OK thanks for that bit...giggle! Now what are all these other bits here, I think there may be some extra bits here just to confuse (easily done I might add ) The pump bit is good but there's about 50 bits if pipe, valves, hoses with holes, little cage thingies... and so on Can some please post a photo of what it's sposed to look like, Please!!!!
