livingart
can be sexed by width of head and general body shape females have a wqider waist need to be older to do this though if left in a bare bottomed tank the males will shed sperm packets can be "vented" but takes experience to do this
turtlemantaken
Sexing by head/body shape involves a measure of 'best guess' My most manly looking lizard on occasion gives birth so suspect it is actually a female.
Insect Direct
can be hard to tell even to the trained eye so im told. males and there sperm plugs make it easy to sex them but females are abit more tricky i have noticed though when putting male & female together male seems to pause alot and has his head in a staunch stance and likes to bite passing female neck? i suppose male vs male could do this but often just observing there behaviour gives a little insight - says he who has very lil experience with these
livingart
you are right on both counts mincie and turtleman where the sexes are hard to tell apart more than one factor must be taken into account when making an assessment of sex the only sure way to tell is DNA testing or when a BT gives birth or drops sperm packets
