Aaron-Betta
It may not be the right way, but this is the way I breed them: Notho's (peat spawners and divers) I use a thin layer of peat as the substrate, floating dangley plants like Indian fern floating on the surface and a few hidey holes so females dont get harrassed. Fish will spawn in the peat over a week or two, Syphon the peat out of the tank through a net over your bucket to catch the peat. (doubles as water change) Replace peat and water. Mop spawners I use a large woollen mop, but have successfully used xmas moss. Barebottom tank with large mop in it. Either pick eggs off mop daily or remove mop after a week or so it put in another tank with same water.
