snookie
any idea of the size they are going to be?
David R
greens are not on cites they are not endangered, so price will be similar to the jardinii awhile ago They're all Scleropages formosus, regardless of colour, so they're all CITES 1. And I'd say they'll be a little more expensive than the jardini's, but should certainly be cheaper than reds. If you look at the prices here you can see the greens are about 60% of the price of a banjar red, so I'd expect them to be at least $1k here. henward
fair enough i am pretty sure that greens are not endangered but i could be wrong. see how much they end up being. none the less, i still think greens look good. it doesnt have the dazzle factor of the scales, but still an awesome fish
David R
Henward, some people believe the "asian arowana" is four different species (aureus, S. formosus S. legendrei, and S. macrocephalus), some say it is just different colour varieties of the same species (S. formosus). Either way, they are all considered to be an 'endangered species' and are all on the CITES Appendix 1, although the green is the most common variety. Have a read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scleropages http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scleropages_formosus
