newfisher
Ok I know this questions been asked before because I read it now can't find it. I want to move my plants from my snail infested tank to a new setup. What do I use to kill any on the plants and then are the plants ok to use again in the new setup? mitzy
There is stuff called snail rid , i used it in my tank but i had no fish in there just hundreds of snails
alanmin4304
Snail rid is copper sulphate and can kill fish that are sensitive to it. Copper sulphate is cheaper and works Ok without fish.
newfisher
Thanks for your help. I really dislike the snails. Will get another tank and resetup my guppys/platys and desnail the plants that belong with them.
alanmin4304
Wether you use pot permangenate, snail rid, copper sulphate, alum or something else be sure to treat the plants away from the fish and rinse them very well before puting them back in with fish.
