The Kyathit came into NZ about 18 months ago for the first time and the Fire ring only in the last 6 months. here is a really great site for Danio information www.danios.info Both are great fish, I've bred the Kyathit many times and the firering is a lot harder. whetu
... it is schooling with 1 zebra and 3 gold zebras is this ok or should i get another kyathit... In my (fairly limited) experience, all kinds of danios seem to be quite happy in a mixed school. When I have had several different kinds in a tank, they all just intermingle and don't seem to prefer to school with others of the same type. Personally I like to have more than one of any type of fish, just for aesthetic reasons. I would suggest getting another one or more kyathits, and also just generally boosting your school size to get a good effect (both visually and socially).
