supasi
Can someone tell me what colour eggs kribs have? My pair have laid inside a flowerpot and from what i can see, they are all white looking. Is this normal or are they infertile? The pair are defending the pot, but Ive only had them just over a week so not sure if they have actually breed before.

ryanjury
Egg's will be creamy coloured for the first day or so, fertile ones will darken until they hatch around day 3 or so.. You will be able to tell if they're no good as they go really white and get fluffy like fungus that you sometimes get on fishes wounds etc.. supasi
Thanks Imsweet. i was quite surprised at how soon they settled in. You can have some back if they growup  Cheers Ryan will have another look tonight to see what colour they are now as it been three days.Never breed kribs before so I have never seen what colour the eggs normally are. stimpy29
to be honest i didnt see the eggs mum guarded them inside half a coconut shell and brought out the babies when they were free swimming i think in general eggs are cream colored and ones that are white are infertile . dont worry tho in a couple of weeks they will be ready to go again good luck!! supasi
Update.......... Dunno bout the first few batches, but now I got babies. Just gonna let them go for it and hopefully they will survive(prob not though as there is pristella tetras in the tank)
alanmin4304
When the babies are a few days old you can siphon them off and rear them in in another tank and as stated the parents will go gain very shortly. Feed the babies on brine shrimp nuplii and microworm. I have raised a number of spawnings that way.
supasi
Would do that Alan , but my spare tanks and heaters are being used for the crypts at the moment. Gotta have my priorities right.
