Best way to send plants?

I have to sent a icecream container of plants to Taupo,

What is the best way of doing it?

I think ive read to use wet newspaper?

I know the best way others will but i have received plants in damp newpaper and they be fine.

Some people put them in a bag with the plants roots in a little bit of water.

I put mine in a plastic bag with a teaspoon of water and a little air to stop the bag being squashed. Place that bag in another bag and put all that in a carton so it doesnt get squashed. If you can make the box less than 70mm thick it can go fastpost and is quicker.

I post mine exactly as Alan does.

I always send via parcel post as people always complain about the price of courier, and have not had a single complaint yet.

Fastway courier bags($3 or so each, but you have to buy 20.)

Teaspoon of water in a ziplock bag, then another bag over it. Tape up the zip of the 2nd bag.

alanmin sure does his boxes with a lot of effort - everytime we've received plants it would take the girlfriend ages to rip the tape off lol plants arrive perfectly

Thanks for that kind comment. I try to make sure they don't leak in the post and get there in one piece because they are not approved material to send by post so you have no claim if it turns to custard.
