There apperance was brownish silvery body with a black spotted line down the center and at the moment they are 5cm long. i just wonder if you kown what these fish could be and what there scientific name is. Rob Posted July 24, 2004 Report Share Posted July 24, 2004 If the common name is accurate then it should be Cichlasoma synspilum, though some shops (Jansens Mt Eden springs to mind) have been calling a different cichlid by this common name, the misnamed cichlid was Archocentrus sajica. Midas Posted July 25, 2004 Report Share Posted July 25, 2004 Like Rob I have also recently seen shops that are incorrectly selling Archocentrus sajica as 'Red headed cichlids'.
