Baby African Cichlids - HELP PLEASE

addy

Recommended Posts

We are new to breeding and were certainly not trying to, but tonight we have found baby yellows in our adult african tank (made up of 5 yellows and 2 ice blue zebras). Unfortunately we are not certain who the mother is although have an idea. Whats the chance of these little ones surviving and can we do anything to help them? ie; taking the bigger ones out?

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi addy. If there's heaps of rocks etc for them to hide in you may get a few that will survive. I let my Cobalts release in the main tank and always get some that make it but the Peacock fry never make it.

If you want to ensure the majority survive you will have to seperate them from the adults.

Congrats on the spawn BTW :bounce: :bounce:
