vindy500
released my male fighter and the female has attacked his fins and the male is just hanging round the top looking sad, put the female back into the main tank, is there point in trying to introduce her agan later? Adrienne
I would remove her for about a week. Are you certain that 'she' is a female as I know there are a lot of short fin males being sold down your way at the moment (and quite a few up here). Once a male has been badly attacked it is possible he may be reticent about attempting to breed again so it would be best to seperate them and try again when he's 'forgotten'. Yes, I know fish are supposed to have short term memories but imo if they are that bad how do they remember that when someone stands in front of the tank its usually food time.
