Afrikan
Heya I have decided to give breeding fighters a whirl for a change, and after owning them for a little while now I am rather attached. I have a lovely little female who is ready to pop with eggs, and no matter how many times my past male blew a beautiful big nest, he was just so intent on giving her the beats or more so looking at himself in the glass instead of breeding... they did breed once, yet he was a real dead beat dad... so... I handed him onto my mother for her nice little planted tank set up... And I have bought this male pictured, he is a real nice sized fighter and displays beautifully to the female, shes in the large plastic jar that is floating in his cubicle tank that he is currently residing in for a couple of days... Please could someone let me know what sort of fighter he is... colourwise etc.. Thanks so much.
Adrienne
All I can suggest is that he has cambodian in him as he has the pearlescent sheen on his body. You'll know for sure if he breeds and is crossed with a fully coloured female as approx half the spawn will have white bodies and the other half will be coloured (or at least thats what happens with mine)
Afrikan
Thanks adodge, yeah he has almost a metallic blue sheen across the body.. thanks heaps for your info, he is going to be bred with a lovely deep red girl with blue through her... should be fun at least to breed something different for a change, must say too, I am quite taken by the fighters, never thought I would say that.. but after having these I am pretty smitten
Adrienne
I was going to make some smart remark when I saw your post - but I refrained The male does have nice colouring so you may end up with some lilac and purple shades which would be great imo. Will be really interesting to see what the fry turn out like and what colour the fins and tails are of the lighter bodied ones.
