yea its petrol.

This boat is far too big for electric setup lol

i have a jetboat that i jacked up to run a brushless with 2 lipos for extra power and she flies up creeks, good fun :D

hamiton turns and all :P

How much power in that little motor? 1-2 horsepower? Easy to find an electric motor that will put out that much power. About $100 or so for the motor itself.

haha yea i won't get any rc electric that will haul a boat of this size and weight like this here motor does :D

Cooling would be a huge problem, and I don't know how mounting to a water prop would work...But powerwise you could go with a motor like this one for $140 US.

This one is rated at 8 horsepower and the motor itself weighs 200 grams less than your petrol motor. Of course, the 13cell lipo to power it is going to add a stack of weight.

haha its ok, my motor is a Zenoah 230pum 25cc.

these electric brushless are also designed for air driven models not boats.

air is easier to move than water and the motor may well not be able to do the same with a boat prop but I have never tried them so anything could be possible. I'll have to try one out some day and see how they go :D they sound like they have the potential to make something go very fast :bounce:

The motors don't care if they're moving air or water. It would be giving you around 12000ish RPM depending on voltage, so you'd just want to size the boat's prop for the current draw you're aiming for. Only concern would be cooling because it's air cooled not water cooled and you wouldn't get much air flow with boats being so slow.

yea thats true.

Boats are so 2d. Remote control planes are where it's at. Although, in this weather, boats are probably the better option. I haven't flown my Electric Cessna in months :/

i fly my plane on they gud days aswell.

land water and air, does it realy mater.

Speed is wat matters HAHA :D  8)
