Simian
I may be going mad...highly likely actually  but my pair of two platinum female mollies, now appears to be a male and female I was watching them last night and saw the larger of the 2 flick its anal fin forward like a gonpodium (spelling?) either Im stupid and made a mistake in sexing the fish which I've had for close to a year..Ive been looking high and low for nice male for them since they matured. I know some reef fish change sex but this is ridiculous anyone heard of it happening before?
SpidersWeb
Yes quite a few livebearers can change sex. Usually female to male. Have seen my platys do it on a few occasions, adult females that have had babies becoming males. I've also heard swordtails do it as well. Usually happens when only one sex is present. Simian
Are they viable? ie can they reproduce? seems moocho crazy to me, but then again I just found an article about how mollies can use mating from other species to reproduce without actually using the sperm... transsexual xenophillia Cloning..I need a little lie down
