spidey666 Posted June 24, 2008 Report Share Posted June 24, 2008 can any one help. i have seven dempseys around 7-9cm and around 8moths old i think and and im wanting to sex them, i have done alot of looking around the net but with so many different opinions eg the colouring,the shape of the fins,size. does anyone have a sure way of telling other than waiting for firtile eggs to apair. cheers spidey Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Afrikan Posted June 24, 2008 Report Share Posted June 24, 2008 Our JD pair were different to look at, mind you, they were alot more mature... male was 7 years old and the female around 3 years old... She was a fair bit smaller than him... more of a rounded dorsal and not as much blue colouration as him, more so his blue colour was alot more intense...
